Baø Coá Meï Cuûa Caùc Linh Muïc

(16-01-2022) - Ñaây laø caùch caùc baø coá/meï cuûa caùc linh muïc vaøo thieân ñaøng:

Trong ngaøy chòu chöùc linh muïc, ñoâi tay cuûa caùc linh muïc ñöôïc Ñöùc Giaùm Muïc xöùc daàu thaùnh. Roài ñoâi tay naøy ñöôïc lau khoâ bôûi chieác khaên maøu traéng tinh, goïi laø maniturgium.

Loaïi daàu ñöôïc duøng ñeå xöùc leân ñoâi tay linh muïc hoâm ñoù goïi laø daàu thaùnh, vì noù ñöôïc Ñöùc Giaùm Muïc laøm pheùp trong ngaøy Thöù Naêm Tuaàn Thaùnh, vì vaäy khoâng theå ñöa maniturgium, hoaëc manutergio vaát ñi.

Sau khi thaùnh leã truyeàn chöùc keát thuùc, khaên naøy coù theå ñöôïc ñöa ñi giaët. Tuy nhieân, theo truyeàn thoáng, caùc taân linh muïc thöôøng laáy chieác khaên traéng naøy ñem taëng cho meï cuûa mình (Toâi cuõng laøm vaäy trong ngaøy chòu chöùc cuûa toâi).

Nhö vaäy, theo truyeàn thoáng töø xöa, caùc baø coá seõ caát giöõ chieác khaên naøy nôi ñöôïc coi laø xöùng ñaùng vaø an toaøn nhaát. Cho ñeán ngaøy ngöôøi meï cuûa linh muïc qua ñôøi, baø ñöôïc trao vaøo ñoâi baøn tay moät caùi maùng coû, trong ñoù coù chieác khaên traéng baø nhaän töø ñoâi tay linh muïc.

Roài khi ñeán cöûa thieân ñaøng, baø ñöôïc daãn ñeán tröôùc maët Chuùa qua moät loái ñi baèng ngoïc. Tröôùc toân nhaân, Chuùa hoûi baø coá:

- "Ta ban söï soáng cho baø. Vaäy baø ñaõ mang gì ñeán cho ta?"

Meï cuûa linh muïc traû lôøi:

- "Con ñaõ giao Ngaøi cho con trai con laø moät linh muïc."

Ngay laäp töùc, Chuùa cho baø coá vaøo thieân ñöôøng.

Ñaây laø moät caâu chuyeän raát coù yù nghóa vaø ñaày caûm ñoäng cho baïn vaø cho toâi. Hình aûnh vò taân linh muïc trao vaøo ñoâi tay cuûa meï mình chieác khaên traéng ñaày muøi daàu thôm vaø thaùnh thieän. Roài nhöõng gioït nöôùc maét khoâng theå kieàm keá vì baø traøn ñaày nieàm haïnh phuùc.

This is how the mothers of the priests enter heaven.

When a priest is ordained, his hands are anointed with oil by the bishop. Then his hands are cleaned with a white linen towel called a maniturgium. The oil used on the priest's hands is sacred, previously blessed by the bishop, so that the maniturgium, or manutergio, cannot be thrown away in the trash. Although it could end up in a laundry basket to be cleaned, the priests of history have made it a habit to keep these linen cloths to present to their mothers during their first Mass.

According to an ancient tradition, the mother keeps the towel in a safe place until the day of her death. Then, when her body is ready for the funeral, the manger is deposited in the mother's hands. Then, the pious tradition tells what happens when the priest's mother arrives at the pearly gates of Heaven.

When she arrives at the gates of Heaven, she is accompanied directly to our Lord. Our Lord will say to you, "I have given you life. What have you given me? " She will hand over the manger and then answer, "I gave you to my son as a priest." And with that Jesus grants him entry into paradise.

It is a beautiful and comforting tradition that always moves those who are present. Tears also run down when a young priest presents the canvas to his mother, tears of joy instead of sorrow.
