Father,
You have made the bond of marriage a holy mystery, a symbol of Christ's love for his Church.
Hear our prayers for N... and N...
With faith in you and in each other they pledge their love today.
May their lives always bear witness to the reality of that love. We ask you this through our Lord Jesus Christ, you Son who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
One God, for ever and ever.

Baøi ñoïc I: Gn 2:18-24
Baøi trích saùch Saùng Theá.
Thieân Chuùa ñaõ phaùn: "Khoâng toát, neáu ngöôøi nam chæ ôû moät mình. Ta seõ cho noù ngöôøi trôï giuùp töông xöùng vôùi noù".
Vaø Thieân Chuùa ñaõ naën ra töø ñaát ñai moïi thuù vaø chim trôøi, vaø Ngöôøi daãn chuùng ñeán Añam ñeå oâng ñaët teân cho chuùng. Vaø moïi vaät soáng heã oâng goïi sao thì teân laø vaäy. Vaø oâng ñaõ ñaët teân cho moïi thuù vaät vaø chim trôøi, cuøng daõ thuù.
Nhöng phaàn oâng, oâng vaãn gaëp ñöôïc ngöôøi trôï giuùp töông xöùng. Vaø Thieân Chuùa ñaõ cho Añam nguû moät giaác teâ meâ, vaø oâng ñaõ thieáp nguû ñi. Vaø Ngöôøi laáy moät xöông söôøn cuûa oâng, ñoaïn ñaép thòt vaøo. Vaø treân xöông söôøn ñaõ ruùt töø Añam, Thieân Chuùa ñaõ taùc thaønh ngöôøi ñaøn baø, vaø oâng ñaõ noùi: "Naøy laø xöông bôûi xöông toâi, thòt bôûi thòt toâi. Naøng seõ ñöôïc goïi laø "ñaøn baø", vì ñaõ ñöôïc ruùt töø ñaøn oâng".
Bôûi theá maø ñaøn oâng seõ boû cha meï vaø gaén boù vôùi vôï mình, vaø hoï seõ trôû neân moät thaân xaùc.
Ñoù laø Lôøi Chuùa.

Hoaëc ñoïc: Tob 8:5-10
Baøi trích saùch Toâbia.
Buoåi toái hoâm thaønh hoân Toâbia ñaõ noùi vôùi Sara raèng: "Chuùng ta laø con chaùu cuûa caùc thaùnh, chuùng ta khoâng theå keát baïn nhö nhöõng ngöôøi chö daân, hoï khoâng nhìn bieát Thieân Chuùa". Theá roài caû hai ngöôøi cuøng ñöùng daäy thaønh khaån caàu xin cho ñöôïc an laønh.
Toâbia ñaõ nguyeän raèng: "Laïy Chuùa laø Thieân Chuùa cuûa cha oâng chuùng toâi! Trôøi ñaát, beå khôi, khe suoái, soâng ngoøi vaø moïi loaøi Chuùa döïng neân, ôû nhöõng nôi ñoù, heát thaûy chuùng haõy ca tuïng Chuùa! Chuùa ñaõ duøng buøn ñaát taùc taïo Añam vaø ban cho oâng ñöôïc Eva laøm ngöôøi noäi trôï. Vaø giôø ñaây, thaân laïy Chuùa, Chuùa bieát raèng khoâng phaûi vì lyù do saéc duïc maø toâi cöôùi laáy coâ em ñaây laøm vôï, song chæ vì meán yeâu doøng doõi nhöõng ngöôøi bieát ca tuïng danh Chuùa tôùi muoân ñôøi".
Sara cuõng nguyeän raèng: "Laïy Chuùa, xin thöông xoùt chuùng toâi, nguyeän cho caû hai chuùng toâi ñeàu soáng khang an tôùi tuoåi giaø".
Ñoù laø Lôøi Chuùa.

Hoaëc ñoïc: Hc 26:1-4,8-21
Baøi trích saùch Huaán Ca.
Phuùc cho ngöôøi choàng coù ngöôøi vôï tuyeät haûo, vì tuoåi thoï cuûa oâng seõ taêng gaáp ñoâi. OÂng seõ soáng nhöõng chuoãi ngaøy bình an vôùi nieàm vui laø ngöôøi vôï tuyeät haûo. Chính ngöôøi vôï laø phaàn thöôûng daønh cho ngöôøi choàng bieát kính sôï Thieân Chuùa. Trong baát cöù thôøi gian naøo, hoaøn caûnh naøo, duø giaàu hay ngheøo, vôùi ñôøi soáng gia dình, con tim hoï seõ ngaäp traøn vui söôùng, aùnh maét hoï seõ raïng rôõ haân hoan.
Ngöôøi choàng seõ theâm vöõng maïnh khi ngöôøi vôï bieát chu toaøn boån phaän vaø söï duyeân daùng cuûa ngöôøi vôï seõ khieán ngöôøi choàng say ñaém. Khoâng giaù naøo coù theå mua ñöôïc nhöõng ñöùc tính daày coâng tu luyeän. Moät ngöôøi vôï bieát keàm haõm mieäng löôõi ñöôïc coi nhö moùn quaø cuûa Thöôïng Ñeá chí coâng. Coù ñöôïc ngöôøi vôï chung thuûy laø coù ñöôïc ích lôïi bao laàn, vì söï ñoan chính cuõng khoâng theå caân ño, ñònh giaù.
Nhö maët trôøi ngôøi saùng treân ngaøn caây, ñænh nuùi, söï ñaûm ñang, quaùn xuyeán cuûa ngöôøi vôï cuõng cao ñeïp bieát bao.
Ñoù laø Lôøi Chuùa.

First Reading: Genesis 2: 18-24
A reading from the Book of Genesis
The Lord GOD said: "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a suitable partner for him."
So the LORD God formed out of the ground various wild animals and various birds of the air, and he brought them to the man to see what he would call them; whatever the man called each of them would be its name.
The man gave names to all the cattle, all the birds of the air, and all wild animals; but none proved to be the suitable partner for the man. So the LORD God cast a deep sleep on the man, and while he was asleep, he took out one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. The LORD God then built up into a woman the rib that he had taken from the man. When he brought her to the man, the man said: "This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called 'woman' for out of 'her man' this one has been taken."
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them become one body.
The word of the Lord.

- Caùc baïn haõy cuøng toâi ca ngôïi Chuùa, cuøng nhau ta haõy taùn taï danh Ngöôøi. Toâi caàu khaån Chuùa, Chuùa ñaõ nhaäm lôøi, vaø Ngöôøi ñaõ cöùu toâi khoûi ñieàu lo sôï.
Ñaùp: Toâi chuùc tuïng Chuùa trong moïi luùc.
- Haõy nhìn veà Chuùa ñeå caùc baïn vui töôi, vaø caùc baïn khoûi hoå ngöôi beõ maët. Kìa ngöôøi ñau khoå caàu cöùu vaø Chuùa ñaõ nghe, vaø Ngöôøi ñaõ cöùu hoï khoûi moïi ñieàu tai naïn.

- Thieân Thaàn Chuùa haï traïi ñoàn binh, chung quanh nhöõng ngöôøi kính sôï Chuùa vaø beânh chöõa hoï. Caùc baïn haõy neám thöû vaø haõy nhìn coi, cho bieát Chuùa thieän haûo nhöôøng bao, phuùc ñöùc ai tìm nöông töïa ôû nôi Ngöôøi.

Ñaùp: Phuùc thay nhöõng baïn naøo toân sôï Thieân Chuùa.
- Phuùc thay nhöõng baïn naøo toân sôï Thieân Chuùa, baïn naøo aên ôû theo ñöôøng loái cuûa Ngaøi. Coâng quaû tay baïn laøm ra, baïn ñöôïc an höôûng, baïn ñöôïc haïnh phuùc vaø seõ gaëp may.

- Hieàn theâ baïn nhö caây nho ñaày hoa traùi, trong gia thaát noäi cung nhaø baïn, con caùi baïn nhö nhöõng choài non cuûa khoùm oâ-liu, ôû chung quanh baøn aên cuûa baïn.

- Ñoù laø phuùc loäc daønh ñeå cho ngöôøi bieát toân sôï Thieân Chuùa. Nguyeän Thieân Chuùa töø Sion chuùc phuùc cho baïn, ñeå baïn nhìn thaáy caûnh thònh ñaït cuûa Gieârusalem, heát moïi ngaøy trong ñôøi soáng cuûa baïn.

Baøi trích thô thöù nhaát cuûa thaùnh Phaoloâ Toâng ñoà göûi tín höõu Coârintoâ.
Anh chò em thaân meán,
Haõy ao öôùc nhöõng ôn ñaëc bieät, nhöõng ôn cao quí nhaát. Nhöng toâi chæ daãn cho anh chò em moät ñöôøng loái coøn ñaëc bieät vaø cao quí hôn nhieàu:
Duø toâi noùi ñöôïc caùc thöù tieáng cuûa loaøi ngöôøi vaø cuûa caùc thieân thaàn, neáu toâi khoâng coù ñöùc baùc aùi, thì toâi chæ laø ngöôøi khua chuoâng goõ troáng. Duø toâi noùi tieân tri, duø toâi thaáu hieåu moïi maàu nhieäm cuøng moïi khoa hoïc, hay duø toâi coù ñöùc tin maïnh meõ khieán ñöôïc nuùi non di chuyeån, neáu toâi khoâng coù ñöùc baùc aùi, thì toâi chæ laø hö voâ. Ngöôøi coù ñöùc baùc aùi thì nhaãn naïi, nhaân töø, khoâng ghen tò, khoâng khoe khoang, khoâng kieâu kyø, khoâng tham lam, khoâng tìm tö lôïi, khoâng giaän döõ, khoâng möu moâ gian aùc, khoâng vui khi thaáy söï baát coâng, chæ vui khi thaáy söï thaät. Ngöôøi coù ñöùc baùc aùi tha thöù moïi söï, troâng caäy moïi söï, vaø chòu ñöïng moïi söï.
Ñoù laø Lôøi Chuùa.

A reading from the first Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians.
Brothers and sisters:
Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts. But I shall show you a still more excellent way. If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.

Rite of Marriage
My dear friends, you have come together in this church so that the Lord may seal and strengthen you love in the presence of the Church's minister and this community.
Christ abundantly blesses this love. He has already consecrated you in baptism and now he enriches and strengthens you by a special sacrament so that you may assume the duties of marriage in mutual and lasting fidelity. And so, in the presence of the Church, I ask you to state your intentions.
- N... and N..., have you come here freely and without reservation to give yourselves to each other in marriage?
- Will you love and honor each other as man and wife for the rest of your lives?
- Will you accept children lovingly from God and bring them up according to the law of Christ and his Church?

Since it is your intention to enter into marriage, join your hands, and declare your consent before God and his Church.

Lord, bless these rings which we bless X in your name Grant that those who wear them may always have deep faith in each other.

Lighting of Unity Candle
N... and N... are going to light their Unity Candle, a symbol of their relationship and love. The candles from which they light have been lit by their parents to represent their lives to this moment.
The Lights, representing the faith, wisdom, and love they have received from their parents, are distinct, each burning alone. N... and N... will light the center candle to symbolize the union of their lives. As this one light bums undivided, so shall their love be one.
May the radiance of this one light be a testimony of their unity. May these candles bum brightly as symbols of their commitment to each other, and as a tribute to their parents' everlasting love for them.

Caàu nguyeän cho ñoâi taân hoân
Sau kinh laïy Cha, chuû teá boû kinh “laïy Chuùa, xin cöùu chuùng con” ñöùng quay maët veà phía ñoâi taân hoân vaø ñoïc lôøi caàu nguyeän cho hoï. Trong lôøi môøi goïi, neáu moät trong hai hoaëc caû ñoâi taân hoân khoâng röôùc leã thì boû caâu trong ngoaëc. Trong lôøi caàu nguyeän, coù theå tuyø nghi boû hai trong ba ñoaïn “laïy Thieân Chuùa toaøn naêng. Laïy Chuùa, Chuùa duøng bí tích cao troïng. Laïy Chuùa, Chuùa ñaõ phoái hôïp.” Chæ caàn giöõ laïi ñoaïn thích hôïp vôùi baøi ñoïc trong leã. Trong ñoaïn cuoái cuøng cuûa lôøi nguyeän naøy, cuõng coù theå boû nhöõng chöõ trong ngoaëc, tuøy hoaøn caûnh cuûa ñoâi taân hoân, thí duï ñoâi taân hoân ñaõ lôùn tuoåi.
Chuû teá ñöùng chaép tay noùi:
Anh chò em thaân meán, chuùng ta haõy daâng leân Cha treân trôøi lôøi caàu khaån thieát tha, xin Ngöôøi tuoân ñoå muoân phuùc laønh cho anh chò (oâng baø) T... vaø T... vöøa thaønh hoân vôùi nhau theo nghi thöùc Kitoâ giaùo. Ngöôøi ñaõ lieân keát hoï baèng giao öôùc thaùnh (vaø baèng bí tích Mình vaø Maùu Ñöùc Kitoâ), xin Ngöôøi cuõng cho hoï bieát troïn ñôøi yeâu thöông nhau.
Moïi ngöôøi thinh laëng caàu nguyeän trong giaây laùt, roài chuû teá giang tay ñoïc tieáp:
* - Laïy Cha laø Thieân Chuùa toaøn naêng, Cha ñaõ taïo döïng muoân loaøi töø hö voâ, vaø an baøi moïi söï trong trôøi ñaát ngay töø thuôû ban ñaàu. Khi döïng neân con ngöôøi gioáng hình aûnh Cha, Cha ñaõ ñaët ngöôøi nöõ laøm trôï taù baát khaû phaân ly cuûa ngöôøi nam, vì vaäy, hoï khoâng coøn laø hai, nhöng chæ laø moät xöông moät thòt. Nhö theá, Cha daïy chuùng con raèng: söï gì Cha ñaõ phoái hôïp neân moät, loaøi ngöôøi khoâng bao giôø ñöôïc pheùp phaân ly.
* - Laïy Cha, Cha duøng bí tích cao troïng thaùnh hoaù tình nghóa vôï choàng, ñeå hoân nhaân töôïng tröng cho söï keát hôïp nhieäm maàu giöõa Ñöùc Kitoâ vaø Hoäi Thaùnh.
* - Laïy Cha, Cha ñaõ phoái hôïp ngöôøi nöõ vôùi ngöôøi nam vaø töø nguyeân thuûy ñaõ chuùc phuùc cho xaõ hoäi hoï gaày döïng neân ñöôïc sinh soâi naûy nôû. Lôøi chuùc phuùc naøy, duø nguyeân toäi hay ñaïi hoàng thuûy cuõng khoâng xoùa boû ñöôïc.
Xin gheù maét nhaân töø nhìn ñeán chò (baø) T... vöøa thaønh hoân vôùi anh (oâng) T... vaø ñang caàu mong ñöôïc Cha ban ôn phuùc. Xin cho chò (baø) ñöôïc ñaày loøng yeâu thöông, bieát aên ôû thuaän hoaø, luoân noi göông caùc thaùnh nöõ ñaõ ñöôïc taùn döông trong saùch thaùnh.

Vaäy giôø ñaây, laïy Cha, xin cho ñoâi taân hoân naøy ñöôïc kieân trì giöõ vöõng ñöùc tin, vaø thieát tha yeâu meán luaät Cha; ñöôïc troïn tình chung thuyû vôùi nhau ñeå neâu göông moät ñôøi soáng thaùnh thieän. Xin ban cho hoï ñöôïc söùc maïnh cuûa Tin Möøng, ñeå hoï trôû neân nhöõng nhaân chöùng ñích thöïc cuûa Chuùa Kitoâ tröôùc maët moïi ngöôøi. Nuptial Blessing
My dear friends, let us turn to the Lord and pray that he will bless with his grace this woman (N...) now married in Christ to this man (N...) and that he will unite in love the couple he has joined in this holy bond.
Father, by your power you have made everything out of nothing.
In the beginning you created the universe and made mankind in your own likeness. You gave man the constant help of woman so that man and woman should no longer be two, but one flesh, and you teach us that what you have united may never divided.
Father, you have made the union of man and wife so holy a mystery that is symbolizes the marriage of Christ and his Church.
Father, by your plan man and woman are united, and married life has been established as the one blessing that was not forfeited by original sin or washed away in the flood.
Look with love upon this woman, your daughter, now joined to her husband in marriage. She asks your blessing. Give her the grace of love and peace. May she always follow the example of the holy women whose praises are sung in the scriptures.
May her husband put his trust in her and recognize that she is his equal and the heir with him to the life of grace. May he always honor her and love her as Christ loves his bride, the Church.
Father, keep them always true to your commandments. Keep them faithful in marriage and let them be living examples of Christian life.
Give them the strength which comes from the gospel so that they may be witnesses of Christ to others. (Bless them with children and help them to be good parents. May they live to see their children's children.)
And, after a happy old age, grant them fuilness of life with the saints in the kingdom of heaven.
